RSS Feeds for Dentistry Journals
Good news!
Blackwell Synergy has set up RSS feeds for journals.
This is a great way to view the TOC of a journal without it being sent to your e-mail or having to go to the journal site. For complete instruction and screenshots from blackwell synergy, click here.
E-journals that U of T faculty, staff, and students have access to on and off-campus, that have RSS feeds available include:

New database: CSA Illustrata Trial access for June 2007
CSA Illustrata Trial for month of June 2007
Try it out and lest us know what you think. I did a quick search for some dentistry topics and there are some dentistry journals indexed in the CSA Illustrate such as, the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry, Community Dentistry & Oral Epidemiology, Dental Traumatology, and more!
"CSA Illustrata provides web-based access to indexed tables, figures, maps, graphs, charts and other images contained in scholarly articles. This unique tool provides researchers precision, efficiency, and relevance in the data discovery process. Users can display the full image, including captions and label text - all of which can be easily saved or imported and used for presentations, lectures or research. The first database in the family, CSA Illustrata: Natural Sciences, includes tables and figures from more than 1,000 journals from prominent publishers resulting in more than 1 million indexed images."

New books!
Basic guide to dental instruments, 2006.
Summary from the publisher: "Basic Guide to Dental instruments provides a working inventory of dental instrumentation in common use in dental surgeries. A clear photograph of each class and many varieties of instrument is included, and then described according to the following principles: name, usage, any relevant features and varieties. Each section is dedicated to a specific discipline or division of dentistry. Complete set-ups have been included at the end of most sections for various procedures. The coverage reflects instrumentation and accessory items used in general dental practice, routine hospital dental procedures and selected specialist settings."
